Before You Begin

Plan Your Site for Strength and Visibility

1

Choose the Right Spot

Pick an open, visible area — clear of trees, power lines, and overhead obstructions.

2

Ground Requirements

Create a hole 12" wide and 26–30" deep. Depth may vary based on soil type.

3

Concrete Tip

Use 60–80 lbs. of quick-set concrete to secure the ground sleeve. Allow 24–48 hours to cure before raising the pole.

4

Drainage Tip

Optional: Add a few inches of gravel at the bottom of the hole to help with drainage and prevent frost heave.

*Check Local Guidelines

Flag display is federally protected, but HOA or city height restrictions may apply.

Install Your Americana Flagpole in 6 Simple Steps

You’ll need:

  • Shovel or post-hole digger
  • Level
  • Quick-set concrete (60–80 lbs.)

Place the sleeve upright in the center of the hole.

Use a level to ensure it’s vertical.

4

Pour Concrete

Mix and pour concrete around the sleeve until full.

Allow 24–48 hours to cure fully before inserting the flagpole.

5

Assemble the Flagpole Sections

Flagpole Installation FAQs

  • Most customers install it solo with basic tools and a little planning. A helper makes raising the pole easier, but it’s not required.

  • 26–30 inches deep is ideal. This provides the support needed for long-term durability in most soil types.

  • Use 60–80 lbs of quick-set concrete. Pour evenly, ensure the sleeve is level, and let it cure 24–48 hours.

  • A flat surface is best. Minor slopes can be leveled out during the concrete curing phase with a level.

  • It mounts easily to the top of the pole and turns on automatically at dusk.

  • Our flagpoles are engineered for strength. In high-wind regions, contact us for specific wind rating guidance.

  • Most areas don’t require one, but some HOAs or towns may have height restrictions. It’s best to check locally.

  • The pole is removable from the sleeve if needed. The sleeve stays in place, flush to the ground.
